How is your UCR bracket determined?
Your bracket comes from the number of commercial motor vehicles you own or operate. Count power units such as trucks, tractors, and buses. Trailers are generally not counted. Most carriers use the vehicle count on their MCS-150; the alternative is the count for the 12 months ending June 30 of the year before the registration year.

Brokers and leasing companies, and applicable freight forwarders in the lowest UCR bracket, can file through our service for a total price of $129 for 2027. If the business also runs its own commercial motor vehicles, it registers as a carrier and pays the bracket for its fleet.
